FAQ

Does StitchPress include any fonts?

No. StitchPress ships zero font files, because font licenses belong to each shop. You upload the fonts you hold webfont licenses for under StitchPress > Fonts and confirm the license for each file. See Palettes and fonts.

Can I offer Pantone colors?

StitchPress does not include Pantone or any manufacturer's chart; Pantone is a licensed system and is never bundled. You can import any chart you are entitled to use, including your own ink mixing list, as a CSV with your codes, names and display colors. See Palettes and fonts.

Does it work with HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage)?

Yes. StitchPress declares HPOS compatibility and reads and writes order data only through WooCommerce's order functions, so it works with HPOS on or off.

Does it work with the Blocks cart and checkout?

Yes. StitchPress declares compatibility with the cart and checkout blocks. Decorated lines show their design rows and decoration price in both the classic and the block cart and checkout, and the design is saved onto the order either way. On block themes, the designer is placed inside the add-to-cart block.

Does it replace Fancy Product Designer or Zakeke?

Only if you sell decoration, not freeform design. StitchPress is built for placement-based orders that a shop can produce: fixed zones, your sizes, your thread or ink colors, text in your fonts, uploaded logos, and a Job Jacket for the floor. It has no all-over print, image filters, clip-art library or vector export. It does not need either plugin, and running a second product designer on the same products is not supported.

Can a customer decorate several places on one garment?

Yes. A template can have as many zones as you draw, on as many views as you need (front, back, sleeves, cap sides). Each zone's Max items sets how many separate decorations the customer may place in it. Embroidery pricing charges the first placement and each additional one; screen printing charges a base per placement. Every placement gets its own section on the Job Jacket.

Embroidery or screen printing: can one template do both?

Yes. Tick both methods on the template and give each its pricing. The customer picks the method in the designer. Each method uses its own palette semantics (thread or ink), its own pricing model and its own setup fee unit. See Methods and pricing.

Is digitizing included?

No. StitchPress takes the order, charges the setup fee you set per new logo, gives you the customer's file through a protected download link on the Job Jacket, and estimates stitch counts. Turning artwork into a stitch file is still done by you or your digitizer. Record the stitch file name and the actual stitch count under Confirm production values on the order.

Who owns the data?

You do. Templates, palettes, fonts, designs, artwork, proofs and orders are stored in your own WordPress database and wp-content/uploads/ folder. The designer makes no requests to outside services and StitchPress charges no per-order fee. See Privacy.

What happens when my license expires?

Nothing stops working. The designer, templates, orders, proofs and Job Jackets keep running. The license pays for updates and support.

Renewing restores updates and support. The licence status, its expiry date and the sites it covers show under StitchPress > Licence.

Do staging and local copies use a license seat?

They are not meant to: the license terms exempt staging and localhost copies. This build does not count seats at all. Before using a staging copy with real orders, read Staging sites, because proof emails sent from staging reach real customers.

A site marked as local, development or staging in WordPress (WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE), or on a host such as localhost, a .local or .test address, or a name with staging, stage or dev as its own part (staging.example.com, shop-dev.example.com), is recorded but never counted as a seat. The Licence screen says "staging copy, no seat used" on such a site.

What happens to orders if I uninstall?

Orders keep their design records whatever you choose: placement, size, colors, text, font name and artwork reference stay on each order line. Removing configuration and uploaded files is opt-in under StitchPress > Settings > Data. Keep the upload folders if you may need to reprint old orders. See Deleting the plugin.

Is StitchPress translated?

Every customer-facing and admin text is translatable (text domain stitchpress). A Spanish translation (es_ES) is included: set Settings > General > Site Language to Español. For other languages, translate with a plugin such as Loco Translate or a .po file in wp-content/languages/plugins/.

Will it slow down my product pages?

StitchPress loads its designer files only on product pages that have a usable template; every other page is untouched. On those pages a small boot script draws the first screen right away and loads the full editor on first interaction, scroll or idle time. On a throttled phone connection the designer measured ready in about 1.4 seconds. The theme and WooCommerce still set most of the page's load time.

Can customers save a design without ordering?

Yes. Save design stores the design on your site under a random link that works from any device for 14 days. An unfinished design is also kept in the customer's own browser for up to 7 days. Saved designs are checked again and repriced when they are added to the cart.

What files can customers upload?

JPG, PNG and PDF, up to 10 MB by default (StitchPress settings > Customer artwork > Maximum upload size). SVG, AI and EPS are not accepted: SVG can carry script, and AI and EPS cannot be inspected safely. Ask for a PDF export instead.

Does it work with variable products?

Yes. Assign the template on the parent product. The garment color and size the customer picked print on the Job Jacket. In this version a template shows the same garment image for every variation.

With garment photos per colour (StitchPress > Garment photos, or on the template, the product or a single variation), the designer, the proof and the Job Jacket show the garment in the colour the customer picked.

If I change prices, do old orders change?

No. Orders keep the decoration total they were placed with. Designs still sitting in carts follow the template's new prices the next time the cart loads.
