What StitchPress costs against the tools decoration shops use.

Every price below was read from the vendor's public page on 2026-10-08 and worked out for one shop size. Where a vendor keeps a price behind a sales call, the cell says verify. Prices change; the source link is in every row.

If you run Fancy Product Designer

Its vendor, radykal, has moved development, services and support to a hosted product, Chamevo. Their announcement gives the dates: support extensions stopped selling on 2026-03-01, and the Genius export and AI services went offline on 2026-06-01. Existing licences keep running.

Orders already placed stay in your WooCommerce database. The print-ready export ran on radykal's servers and is gone; the export left inside the plugin is 72 DPI. Staying with the vendor means a Chamevo monthly plan with an order cap (table below).

Moving to StitchPress: there is no one-click importer for FPD products yet. It is on our roadmap, not in the plugin. What 1.0.0-rc4 does have: garment rules that set up the WooCommerce products you already sell from their title, category and own photos, and a bulk setup that reports every product before it changes anything and can be undone. It does not read FPD's views or printing boxes. Both plugins can stay installed while you switch; stop FPD loading its scripts on the products that use StitchPress.

Cost at one shop size

Three years at 300 decorated orders a month.

The shop: 300 decorated orders a month at $45 each, so $13,500 a month in decorated sales; one store; one unique personalised item per order; annual billing where the vendor offers it. Card processing is left out for everyone. Totals include one-time fees the vendor publishes.

US dollars. Read 2026-10-08. "Verify": the vendor does not publish that number.

Why the monthly model costs more over time

A yearly licence costs the same in year three as in year one, and it does not grow with your orders. A percentage fee grows with every sale: at this shop size Zakeke comes to $12,222 over three years and Kickflip to $11,601, because 1.7 or 1.95 percent of $13,500 a month is more than either plan's base price. Order caps move you up a tier as you grow; 300 orders a month is past Chamevo's 250-order plan, so this shop pays for Pro, $7,164 over three years. The hosted platforms charge for the storefront as well as the designer: InkSoft Standard is $11,803 over three years with its connection fee, and DecoNetwork Standard $8,604 before its licence. StitchPress Shop is $597 over the same three years, on the hosting you already pay for. The one-time plugins cost less again, with six months of support or none, and no proof or work order.

Pick the canvas tool when

You need what a canvas gives and StitchPress does not.

  • All-over print, sublimation or photo products
  • Image filters, clip-art libraries, a drawing surface the customer owns
  • Vector export of the customer's design
  • Products without fixed decoration areas

StitchPress will not grow these features. The order model is placement, size, colour, text, typeface and artwork reference, so a record is small, can be priced on the server, and prints the same way years later. A canvas trades all of that for freedom.

Pick StitchPress when

Your shop produces what the customer ordered, and the order has to be right.

The size sets the price

A drawn size cannot be checked out at a smaller band.

Where a zone has a real width, the size the customer draws sets the price band, and the server refuses a submitted size that disagrees with the drawn one.

The record is the order

What the browser drew is never the source of truth.

Placement geometry is stored as percentages of a declared stage. A template edit or deletion later does not change what an old order prints.

The proof gates production

Nothing moves to the floor until a round is approved.

Rounds, decisions, comments and times are recorded on the order. A change that costs more becomes a linked balance order.

The floor gets a sheet

Thread codes, fonts, artwork, estimate, production record.

Printed one at a time or in a batch from the queue, with blank lines for the stitch count, backing and hooping your embroiderer fills in.

What we will not say

Rules this page follows

  • Every competitor figure is dated and sourced; "Not checked" means we did not find it on the vendor's public pages; we do not fill it from memory.
  • No claims about another vendor's bugs or support. The Fancy Product Designer dates are the vendor's own announcement. Our own measured numbers (1,356 ms designer ready on a throttled phone) are lab runs on our staging site, not your store.
  • No testimonials. There are none yet. The first customer story will be published with the shop's written permission and measured results, or not at all.

Found a cell that is wrong? Tell support and we will correct it with the date of the correction.
